The president signed into law on Friday, March 27, 2020 an estimated $2.2 trillion emergency relief bill known as the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) that addresses some of the economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic. It is meant to help businesses, individuals, our health care system, states, and municipalities during an unprecedented freeze on the majority of American life.
To help summarize the key provisions, we have created a series of infographics.
NOTE: The infographics don’t capture the entirety of funding or policy changes, but provide you with an overview.
