Your privacy is important to us! Conway, Deuth & Schmiesing, PLLP (CDS) has adopted the following Privacy Policy to tell you how we use any information you may provide to us:

CDS collects certain nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications, tax organizers, worksheets and other documents;
  • Information you authorize us to receive from brokerage firms, law firms, our website, other CPA firms, banks, mortgage companies, the Internal Revenue Service and/or other authorized third parties.

The information referenced above is collected for the purpose of providing you tax, audit, consulting, and/or accounting services. The accountants and team members of CDS hold your nonpublic personal information in confidence and will not release such information to third parties, except as required or permitted by law or authorized by you.

How We Ensure the Security of Your Information
CDS is committed to ensuring that your Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) is secure. Except as otherwise described in this notice, we restrict access to PII and other personal data about you to employees of our firm or third-party service providers who need to know such information in order to provide the services you request. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in compliance with applicable laws and regulations to guard your PII from unauthorized access, alteration, or premature destruction.

CDS will dispose of its records that contain nonpublic personal information by modifying the personal information to make it unreadable or undecipherable. We may make nonpublic personal information unreadable or undecipherable by erasing, shredding or other means. We may also dispose of nonpublic personal information by contracting with a vendor engaged in the business of disposing of records (in the same manner described above) that contain confidential information.

When you register on our site to receive information, register for events or e-newsletters, or otherwise actively provide information to CDS, we will collect the information that you provide. This may include your first and last name, e-mail address, and other information that you voluntarily provide.

By providing this information to us, you explicitly agree to our collection and use of such information as described in this Privacy Policy. We may use your information to respond to your inquiries, contact you regarding account status or client service, tell you about products or services which may be of interest to you, allow you to access specific account information using your personal login, or in the case of seeking employment at CDS, match you with appropriate job opportunities. By registering or otherwise providing information to us, you consent to allow us to contact you for those purposes.

If you provide your e-mail address to us, we may use it to contact you to respond to your inquiries or to provide you with education or information on products or services.

We do not sell your PII to third parties, nor do we share it with third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy. We may share your PII with (a) third party service providers; (b) business partners; (c) affiliated companies within our corporate structure; and (d) as needed for legal purposes. Third party service providers have access to PII only as needed to perform their functions, and they must process the PII in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Examples of how we may share PII with service providers include providing services; payment processing and fraud prevention; providing client service; and sending marketing communications. As do many websites, we use “cookies” to enhance your user experience. A cookie is a small piece of data stored on your hard drive containing some demographic information that does not reveal your specific identity.
