MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Brenda Parsley, CPA, joined CDS in 2016 as a Staff Accountant. She graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN with Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Finance with a Corporate Finance Concentration. She received her CPA certification from the Minnesota Board of Accountancy in 2017. Brenda was promoted to Senior Accountant in 2018, and Manager in 2019. Her focus area is governmental auditing.

Brenda is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA). She is an active volunteer for the United Way of West Central Minnesota and is a member of the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce’s neXt organization. Brenda is a 2019 graduate of the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Perspectives program and a 2020 graduate of the Vision 2040 Leadership program.

OTHER INTERESTING FACTS:

  • Loves being an aunt to her six nephews
  • Trying to become an avid golfer
  • Recently got engaged in Portugal (thankfully, before the pandemic)

 

CDS COVID-19 Fieldwork Guidelines

Conway, Deuth & Schmiesing, PLLP is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all our team members and clients. If CDS team members are scheduled for fieldwork on location, a team member will contact the client in advance regarding the client’s COVID‐19 policies.  These policies will be reviewed by team members that will be on location to ensure compliance.

CDS team members will also follow our internal COVID-19 preparedness guidelines:
  • Team members will use hand sanitizer when entering a client’s office.
  • Hand sanitizer will be used before giving documents or items to a client and after accepting documents or items from a client.
  • Physical distancing guidelines recommended by the CDC will be followed.
  • CDS team members have been informed of, and encouraged, to self‐monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID‐19.
