Always be suspicious when you receive unsolicited phone calls especially claiming to be from reputable companies such as QuickBooks or Intuit. Recently, there have been scammers calling and pretending to be a QuickBooks support person. 

• They may call you directly and falsely state that they have been trying to apply updates or that your software and/or data is corrupted and they must immediately fix it.

Tip: Intuit will not call you with this type of request. Always be suspicious when you receive unsolicited phone calls. If you feel uncomfortable, hang up and call your QuickBooks ProAdvisor or Intuit directly.
