OVERVIEW

Perform a wide variety of audit functions specific to for-profit, non-profit, and quasi-governmental clients. Frequent same-day travel, and occasional out-of-town travel for work at clients’ offices. Be flexible to meet the needs of clients and firm. Seasonal overtime is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Preparation of compiled, reviewed, and audited financial statements
  • Perform all audit functions and tests as prescribed in applicable audit programs
  • Application of and reporting on agreed upon procedures
  • Identify accounting, compliance, and reporting issues
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all current auditing laws and statutes, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and auditing standards
  • Conduct research related to client work and internal projects
  • Provide timely, high quality client service
  • Managing client expectations and assisting clients with their audit and other related questions
  • Responsible for client communication
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations
  • Mentor staff and conduct staff training
  • Supervise projects and assign work as necessary
  • Assist with developing proposals
  • Participate in the audit planning process
  • Assist with firm initiatives
  • Attend Continuing Professional Education to develop your interpersonal skills and professional expertise

  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Accounting, Finance, or related degree or educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam, required
  • Certified Public Accountant certification, preferred
  • Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards related to non-profit, for profit, and quasi-governmental audits
  • Experience in oversight of audit engagements including planning, budgeting, performing, supervision of staff, and wrap up
  • Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
  • Effective, timely, and professional communication skills
  • Flexible team player who is also able to work independently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality required
  • Desire to continue to develop and enhance skills
  • Exceptional time management skills with an ability to organize and prioritize projects, and meet deadlines
