Roger Deuth
Retired, December 2019
Roger Deuth is one of the founding partners of Conway, Deuth & Schmiesing, PLLP (CDS) working over forty-three years in public accounting. After Roger’s retirement from the CDS partnership in 2016, he remained a trusted advisor to several of his long-standing clients until his full retirement on December 31, 2019.
Roger graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN with a degree in Accounting. He received his CPA certification in 1976. Roger received the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) certification in 2004 and received his Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV) certification in 2006. Roger was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA), and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). Roger practiced in a variety of accounting and tax areas, but specialized in tax planning and preparation, business consulting, and business valuations.
Now that he is retired, Roger is spending more time with his family including 4 grandchildren and traveling with his wife, Becky.
Paul Harvego
Retired, June 2020
Paul Harvego worked over thirty years in public accounting. Paul practiced in a variety of accounting and tax areas, but specialized in governmental and non-profit auditing and consulting, tax planning and preparation, forensic accounting, and business consulting. Paul attended Alexandria Technical School in Alexandria, MN then joined the accounting firm of Gruys, Johnson and Associates. In 1988, he joined Fawcett, Young & Associates, Ltd. in Litchfield, MN, and became a principal the following year. When Fawcett, Young and Associates merged with CDS in August of 2003, Paul was admitted as a Partner. He received his CPA certification from the Minnesota Board of Accountancy in 1988, his Certificate of Educational Achievement in government accounting and auditing in 1990, and his Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification in 2014. After Paul’s retirement from the CDS partnership in 2019, he continues to remain a trusted advisor to our clients until his full retirement in 2020.
Now that he is retired, Paul is spending more time with his family at the lake.
Milan Schmiesing
Retired, May 2022
Milan Schmiesing is one of the founding partners of CDS Conway, Deuth & Schmiesing, PLLP (CDS) working over fifty-three years in public accounting. After Milan’s retirement from the CDS partnership in January, 2010, he continued to remain a trusted advisor to our clients working on a part-time basis until his full retirement in May of 2022.
Following high school graduation, Milan served four years in the Air Force. Milan graduated from Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN from the Accounting program. He began working for Latham & Parker, CPA’s in 1969, where he later became a Partner. Milan merged his practice with Conway, Deuth & Associates in 1985. Milan was the first Technical School graduate in the state of Minnesota to earn a CPA license. He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA). Milan practiced in a variety of accounting and tax areas, but specialized in tax planning and preparation, business consulting, and for-profit auditing. He was our expert in the construction industry.
Now that he is retired, Milan has more time for his favorite hobbies of hunting and fishing.
