Interview with Tax Accountant, Denise Lewison

Q: Tell us about your family.

A: My husband, Eric, is an owner-operator truck driver who hauls market hogs locally. Our teenage son attends Truman Public Schools and our stepdaughter is attending Winona State University. We have three small dogs: Cooper (a Shih Tzu), Tucker (a Dachshund mix), and Maddie (a Miniature Schnauzer).

Q: What inspired your career path?

A: I have always had a love for math and a natural talent for working with computers. From an early age, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in a “numbers” field. One day, my mom suggested I consider accounting, and the idea resonated with me. After taking a couple of accounting classes in high school, I decided this would be my career path.

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?

A: My hobbies include cooking, baking, reading, sewing, crocheting, solving jigsaw puzzles, and fishing. During the summer, we love to go camping. The rest of the year, I enjoy spending time with family and our dogs.

Q: Why CDS?

A: I chose CDS because of their strong commitment to their employees and their families, as well as their values. Their flexibility will allow me to maintain my full-time job while also contributing remotely during the tax season.
