Interview with Staff Auditor, Becky Lang

Q: Tell us about your family.

A: My husband, Jason, and I live in the country between Paynesville and Richmond. Jason is a supervisor with Lunda Construction. Our three children, all boys, attend Eden Valley-Watkins school. They also play hockey with River Lakes. When they aren’t playing sports, they are avid hunters and fishermen. Most of our family activities revolve around either sports or outdoor hobbies.

Q: Do you have any hobbies or interesting facts?

A: When I have some downtime between driving to hockey rinks, I enjoy reading. I’m also a published author!

Q: How has Auditing changed during your career?

A: While there has been a lot of changes in auditing since I first worked in the field out of college, the fundamentals are still there. I was also fortunate to experience some of the big changes when they were being implemented so that is helpful.

Q: How do you stay up to date on changes and trends in your field/industry?

A: Readings and training offered by CDS and outside the firm are a great way to stay on top of changes. I’ve also discovered that there is a wealth of information inside of CDS with many talented professionals.

Q: What are you looking forward to most at CDS?

A: I’m really looking forward to the team aspect and overall culture of CDS. It has been a very welcoming environment from day one.
