Q: What inspired your career path?
A: My Watertown-Mayer high school business teacher, Mr. Stohs, saw how much I enjoyed accounting in his business class and pushed me to continue pursuing all the accounting courses offered. I didn’t really have an idea of what I wanted to do, but he was right! I fell in love with accounting. I started out in the banking industry and continued pursuing my dream to becoming an accountant!
Q: Tell us about your family.
A: I grew up in Mound, Minnesota. I am very close with my Grandmother, Crystal. She’s my hero! I live in Winsted with my daughter, Elsie (13), and my two sons, Joshua (7) and JJ (5). We also have three cats: Rosie, Marshmallow, and Isabella. I try and spend as much time with my children as possible!
Q: What do you like to do in your spare time? Any interesting facts about yourself?
A: I love to read, go to concerts, and be outdoors as much I can be. Some interesting things about myself are that I have lived in eight different states and have seven tattoos.
Q: Why CDS?
A: I was interested in CDS because of the opportunity to gain additional knowledge and more experience in accounting that I have not been able to receive through private accounting. After having my interview with the CDS team, I knew this was the right place for me to be. The energy and culture is very apparent!
