CDSA and CDS To Merge
We’re excited to announce that on December 1, CDS Administrative Services, LLC (CDSA) will merge with Conway, Deuth and Schmiesing, PLLP (CDS). The niche area is now identified as the Benefit Plan Administrative division.
Our clients will continue to receive the same high level of service, with the work being performed by our Third Party Administrative team, led by Partner and Benefit Plan Director, Jen Burnett.
New Hires
Julie Tonn joined CDS as an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist in our Morris office. Prior to CDS, she worked in client service for over 30 years.
Tabitha Weflen joined CDS as a Bookkeeper in our Willmar and Benson offices. Prior to CDS she worked in client service for over 7 years. Tabitha is attending the University of Minnesota – Crookston majoring in Accounting with a minor in Finance. Her focus areas are bookkeeping and QuickBooks.
Michelle Thissen joined CDS as a Government Auditor in our Willmar office. Prior to CDS she worked as an accountant for a private business for over 17 years. Michelle graduated from Bemidji State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Business Administration through Bemidji State University. Her focus area is government auditing.
Cassie Fernholz joined CDS as an Administrative Assistant in our Willmar office. Prior to CDS she worked in client service and bookkeeping for over 9 years. Cassie graduated from Ridgewater College with an Associate degree in Agribusiness/Agricultural Business Operations.
Our Newest QuickBooks ProAdvisors
Sammy Mickelson received her Online QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification. She joined CDS in 2020 as a Staff Accountant in our Willmar office. She graduated from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Sammy is on CDS’s COVID-19 Resource Committee. Her focus areas are tax preparation, bookkeeping, QuickBooks, and auditing.
Sammy is a member the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

CDS Promotion
Allyson Wittman was promoted to Staff Accountant. She joined CDS as a bookkeeper in 2020 in our Willmar office. Prior to CDS, she worked as a marketing consultant for two years. Allyson graduated from the University of Minnesota – Crookston with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and from Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN with an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts. She received her QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation in 2020. Allyson’s focus areas are bookkeeping and outsourced accounting services.
Alesha Narragon was promoted to Payroll Specialist. She joined CDS as a Payroll Assistant in 2019 in our Willmar office. Prior to CDS, Alesha worked in accounting for three years. She graduated with her Associates in Applied Science degree in Business Administration from the Minnesota School of Business in Plymouth, MN. Alesha specializes in assisting clients with the preparation of their payrolls, tax deposits, quarterly and year-end payroll reports.
