CDS PAYROLL ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW

Assist with preparing payrolls and related functions under the supervision of the Director of Payroll Services, Payroll Manager, and Senior Payroll Specialist. Work hour requirements vary throughout the year and the Payroll Assistant must be flexible to meet the needs of clients and firm, with required seasonal overtime, particularly during year-end payroll reporting season (Mid-December through January).

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Compiling payroll data to process payroll accurately and efficiently
  • Assist with quarterly and year-end payroll reports and W-2 forms
  • Assist with the implementation and support of CDS TimeKeeper, WorkforceHUB, and related products
  • Accurately complete data entry for payrolls
  • Reconciliation of payrolls
  • Maintain and update client payroll records
  • Administrative duties including mailings, scanning, typing, and copying
  • Keep informed of current payroll issues and changes
  • Provide excellent client service
  • Develop client relationships

  • Promote CDS payroll and additional firm services
  • Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • AA degree or related experience
  • Payroll preparation experience and knowledge preferred
  • Detail oriented
  • Effective and professional communication skills
  • Flexible, team player, who is also able to work independently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Desire to continue to develop and enhance skills
  • Exceptional time management skills, ability to organize and prioritize projects and meet deadlines
  • Optimistic
  • Strong computer aptitude
