Q: What inspired your career path?
A: My career path has definitely been an interesting journey! From 1st to 11th grade, I wanted to be a veterinarian because I have a passion for animals. However, I quickly realized that I’m not great with blood or science, so that didn’t quite work out. In my senior year of high school, I discovered I had a real interest in math and was actually good at it. I took an accounting class, and I absolutely loved it! I realized that working with numbers and understanding how finances work can be really rewarding.
Q: Tell us about your family.
A: My husband, Adam, our two dogs, and I live in Willmar. Adam works as a flight paramedic with LifeLink III and really enjoys the fast-paced tempo of his job. When we’re not working, we love to travel! Whether it’s exploring a new Minnesota brewery, heading to a domestic destination, or taking an international trip, we try to travel as much as we can!
Q: Do you have any hobbies?
A: Since we’re big on traveling, I started a Travel Page to share our budget-friendly trips and show others how they too can travel on a budget. I enjoy working on that in my spare time.
Q: Why CDS?
A: I was blown away by how welcoming and kind everyone has been, not just during the interview and hiring process, but also in my first few days here. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel seen, heard, and accepted for exactly who you are. I can’t wait to be part of such an incredible team, and I hope to make the same impact in return!
