Payroll Specialist

OVERVIEW

Prepare payrolls and related functions. Assist with the implementation and support of CDS TimeKeeper, WorkforceHUB, and related products. Be flexible to meet the needs of clients and firm. Seasonal overtime is required, particularly during year-end payroll reporting season (Mid-December through January).

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare client payrolls and related payroll reports and deposits timely, accurately, and efficiently
  • Prepare quarterly and year-end payroll reconciliations, reports, and W-2 forms
  • Assist with the implementation and support of CDS TimeKeeper, WorkforceHUB, and related products
  • Maintain and update client payroll records
  • Keep informed of current payroll issues and changes
  • Provide excellent client service
  • Administrative duties including mailings, scanning, typing, and copying
  • Assist with developing and implementing new client services
  • Assist with firm initiatives
  • Develop client relationships

  • Promote CDS payroll and additional firm services
  • Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • AA degree or related experience
  • Payroll preparation experience and knowledge preferred
  • Detail oriented
  • Effective, timely, and professional communication skills
  • Flexible team player who is also able to work independently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Desire to continue to develop and enhance skills
  • Exceptional time management skills, ability to organize and prioritize projects and meet deadlines
  • Optimistic
  • Strong computer aptitude
