Summary
of Responsibilities
Responsible for client service functions for the front desk and file room maintenance. Provides high level administrative support for Partners and staff by handling information requests, performing clerical functions and completing special projects. Bookkeeping work as assigned.
Essential
Functions
- Responsible for client service for the front area including maintaining a welcome space for clients
- Awareness of Partner and staff schedules
- Updating client data in software programs
- Mailings as assigned
- Processing of tax returns, financial statements and audit reports
- Maintains the St. Cloud file room, including developing file room processes, file preparation
- Oversees the firm’s E-filing process
- Assist with paperless processes for the office
- Composes correspondence, compiles reports, creates spreadsheets and reports; manages information with the highest level of confidentiality
- Handles a high volume of work with accuracy, maintains flexibility and efficiency to deal with changing priorities
- Interacts with associates at all levels of the organization in a gracious and supportive manner
- Thinks ahead, creates an atmosphere of welcome, service responsiveness and professionalism which enhances the reputation of CDS
- Client billable work as assigned
- Other duties as assigned by Partners and staff
Education,
Experience, and Skills Required
- AA degree and/or experience as an Administrative Assistant
- Excellent communication skills, friendly and detail oriented
- Strong bookkeeping skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
- Ability to operate computer and other office equipment
Senior Accountant
Summary
of Responsibilities
Perform a wide variety of
diversified accounting and tax assignments under the supervision
of different partners and senior accountants.
Essential
Functions
Record transactions in ledgers, prepare trial balances and
simple financial statements
using computer software.
Reconcile accounts
to control accounts.
Perform scheduled
computations of accruals, property and equipment, and calculate
depreciation expense.
Perform audits
or review procedures as requested.
Prepare payroll
tax, sales or other business tax and personal income returns.
Assist in proofing
financial statements, tax returns and other documents.
Perform other
accounting, auditing and tax duties as needed in engagements and
as assigned by Partners.
Education,
Experience, and Skills Required
Accounting degree
and three or more years of expereince required.
Well-rounded
knowledge of accounting principles and personal income tax.
Ability to communicate
effectively and professionally with clients and other staff.
Ability to work both independently and with a team.
Flexible,
team player.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
